Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 4 August 2026

This policy applies to every person who uses KasiGo SA — customers, restaurant partners, delivery drivers and platform administrators. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these rules.

1. Scope

KasiGo SA ("KasiGo", "we", "us") operates an online marketplace that connects customers with independent restaurants and independent delivery drivers in South Africa. This Acceptable Use Policy forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to the website, mobile applications, partner portals and administrator tools.

2. General conduct

All users must:

  • Comply with all applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
  • Provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and when transacting.
  • Use the platform only for lawful, genuine ordering, selling or delivery activity.
  • Treat other users, staff and support agents with respect.

3. Prohibited activity

You may not use KasiGo to:

  • Carry out any illegal activity, including the sale or transport of illegal goods, unlicensed alcohol, tobacco to minors, narcotics, weapons, counterfeit goods or stolen property.
  • Commit fraud, including card fraud, chargeback abuse, use of stolen payment credentials, manipulation of promotions, referral or voucher schemes, or false refund claims.
  • Place fake, prank, test or non-genuine orders, or systematically place and cancel orders.
  • Abuse, threaten, harass, stalk, intimidate, discriminate against or use hate speech towards customers, restaurant staff, drivers, administrators or any other person.
  • Send spam, bulk unsolicited messaging, advertising or phishing content through order chat, reviews or any other platform channel.
  • Share, sell, rent or transfer an account, or allow another person to use your login credentials. Each account belongs to one verified person or business.
  • Create multiple or duplicate accounts to evade suspension, gain new-user benefits, or manipulate ratings.
  • Misuse the platform technically: scraping, reverse engineering, automated bots, interfering with our systems, attempting unauthorised access, probing for vulnerabilities, or introducing malware.
  • Misrepresent food, prices, availability, business identity, licensing, vehicle details or driver identity.
  • Post false, defamatory or manipulated reviews or ratings.
  • Collect, store or use another user's personal information for any purpose other than completing the specific order it was shared for.

4. Additional rules for restaurant partners

  • Maintain valid business registration, trading licences and health or food-safety certificates required by your municipality.
  • Prepare food hygienically and honour menus, prices and preparation times published on KasiGo.
  • Do not solicit customers to transact off-platform in order to avoid platform fees.
  • Do not accept orders you cannot fulfil, or repeatedly cancel confirmed orders.

5. Additional rules for drivers

  • Hold a valid South African driver's licence (or applicable permit), roadworthy vehicle and required insurance for the vehicle used.
  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and obey all road traffic laws.
  • Do not tamper with, consume or open customer orders, and keep food sealed and protected.
  • Do not falsify GPS location, delivery confirmations, distance or earnings claims.
  • Do not contact customers after delivery for personal reasons.

6. Additional rules for administrators

  • Access customer, driver or restaurant data only where necessary to perform a legitimate support, compliance or operational task.
  • Never export, share or use platform data for personal gain or outside KasiGo systems.
  • Never alter orders, wallets, payouts or withdrawal records without a documented, authorised reason.

7. Enforcement

Where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, KasiGo SA may — with or without prior notice, depending on the severity — issue a warning, restrict features, withhold or reverse payouts linked to fraudulent activity, remove content, suspend the account temporarily, or terminate the account permanently.

Serious breaches, including fraud, violence or illegal trading, may be reported to the South African Police Service and to our payment providers. Termination does not affect amounts lawfully owed to or by KasiGo.

8. Reporting and appeals

Report abuse, unsafe conduct or suspected fraud to support@kasigo.app. If your account has been suspended and you believe this was in error, email the same address with your account details; we aim to review appeals within 7 business days.
