Delete Your KasiGo Account

Last updated 5 August 2026

KasiGo SA respects your right under POPIA to have your personal information deleted. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your data.

Who can request deletion

Any KasiGo account holder — customers, delivery drivers and restaurant partners — may request that their account and personal information be deleted.

  • In the app: Account → Help & support → open a ticket asking for account deletion.
  • On this page: complete the Request Account Deletion form below.
  • By email: send your request to support@kasigo.app from the email address on your account.

We verify every request against the account details you provide. Once verified, deletion is completed within 30 days and we confirm by email. Requests with an outstanding order, unpaid balance or active dispute are actioned once that matter is closed.

What personal data is deleted

  • Your name, email address, phone number and profile photo.
  • Saved delivery addresses and location history.
  • Cart contents, favourites, saved preferences and in-app notifications.
  • Support and order chat messages linked to your profile.
  • Driver documents (licence, vehicle details) and driver location history.
  • Restaurant contact details and staff logins, where the restaurant closes its account.
  • Push notification tokens and device identifiers.
  • Stored payout bank details held with our payment partner, Paystack.

KasiGo never stores full card numbers — card data is handled by Paystack.

What data we may retain

South African law requires us to keep certain records even after your account is closed. Retained records are minimised, access-restricted and never used for marketing.

  • Tax and financial records: invoices, payouts and transaction records for 5 years (Tax Administration Act, 2011).
  • Company and accounting records kept for 7 years where required by the Companies Act, 2008.
  • Fraud prevention and safety records where there is a legitimate interest or an ongoing investigation.
  • Anonymised or aggregated statistics that can no longer identify you.
  • Records needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, for the duration of that matter.
